DTM Sudan Flash Alert: Conflict in Al Fasher (Korma, Jonjona, and Sarafaya Villages), North Darfur
DTM Sudan's Early Warning Flash Alerts provide immediate updates on incidents and sudden displacement in Sudan.
During the period between 2 and 4 April 2024, an unknown Arab armed group launched an attack on Korma, Jonjona and Sarafaya villages of Al Fasher locality, North Darfur. According to the field teams, approximately 763 households were displaced from affected villages and sought refuge in various locations across Al Fasher locality. In addition, 72 houses burnt down in the area as a result of the hostilities. The situation remains tense and unpredictable. DTM will continue to monitor the developments closely and will provide further information on displacement and population mobility across Sudan, on a weekly basis.
